Vets offered free meal on ANZAC Day

ANZAC Day celebrates and honours those who have served New Zealand and Australia in military operations. This ANZAC Day four restaurants are honouring returned servicemen and women who have served abroad by inviting them to enjoy a complimentary meal.*
“There are many New Zealanders who have served abroad and deserve our recognition, and we’d like to thank them, ” says Nicola Richards of Monsoon Poon Auckland after seeing a similar concept in the United States.

The participating restaurants are:

*For service men and women who have served overseas on combat, combat-like or peace (keeping, making or enforcement) operations.  Either turn up at 6pm that evening or notify the restaurant via email or phone prior to dining.  Applies to meals only and does not include drinks.
